Purpose of our trip: Vacation – to see Maine, to get away, to have fun, to have it all!
How we traveled: By van
The weather was: Nice and quiet, cool fall Maine weather.
What we did: Viktor, Olga, and Victor went hiking, tried fishing. All of us enjoyed sitting on the porch near chimney; looking out to lake. We all ate, slept, ate, slept; slept some more, then ate and slept, and just enjoyed being up here.
People we met: A neighbor who is building now his getaway. Very nice person. We talked about how his relatives owned this land before, all around the lake, who lives here…
Places we would recommend: We enjoyed cooking outside and in the cabin, we’ve had enough city life and wanted to enjoy “Life in the cabin on the lake!”
Favorite moments: The peace and serenity of being here. We are looking forward to coming back here during summer (August?) next year, and the year after, and then again. And again. Thank you for the “magic!”

Purpose of our trip: Vacation – Year #2 at the cabin!
How we traveled: Auto
The weather was: 80-85 sunny
What we did: Ate lots of lobster, toured the coastline and spent most of the time swimming, fishing, & kayaking in the lake with our 3 dogs
Places we would recommend: Kate’s Seafood & Cappy’s (clam chowder) Buy lobster fresh off the boats and cook them up at the cabin.
Favorite moments: Kaitlin, 8yrs old, loves the loons. And mom catching bass under the dock while everyone else was casting out into the lake.

Purpose of our trip: For our two young sons to experience the wonder of Maine
How we traveled: Flew to Manchester, drove to Loon Cove…then off to Moose River cabin
The weather was: Very good…rained overnight…some early fog…mostly glorious weather in 70’s!
What we did: We canoed around lake, went for short hikes, loved swimming & floating around the float…went on the “Lively Lady” and learned about lobster fishing, saw seals, bald eagles, and even a pirate ship!
People we met: The blueberry folks up the way & the nice neighbor who lent us ketchup and saved the day for our son’s hamburger!
Places we would recommend: Wayfarer in Rockland was great family dining…also eating lobster rolls on dock in Camden. “Lively Lady” was great!
Favorite moments: As a residential architect, I enjoyed your cab…it brings us closer to our dream of owning one ourselves.
